Voor de tweede botteling van ons eigen label Dunes An Oir selecteerden wij iets spectaculairs. Bij de samples die Thomas Ewers van Malts of Scotland beschikbaar stelde, zat deze prachtige, klassieke Ardbeg en zo’n buitenkans konden wij niet laten lopen. De whisky werd gedistilleerd in 1998 en rijpte zeventien jaar op sherry hogshead #MoS 15035. Bij botteling in 2015 leverde het vat 240 flessen op met een vatsterkte van 58.9%. Het is een heerlijk klassieke Ardbeg geworden, met een verfijnde en milde sherryinvloed. Een must voor elke liefhebber van Ardbeg en Malts of Scotland!

Een zeer oude Glen Moray in de Rare Casks serie van Malts of Scotland. Het komt niet vaak voor dat je een 33-jarige Glen Moray tegenkomt. De whisky combineert een rijke, bijna uitbundige fruitigheid met een gelaagdheid en complexiteit die zijn leeftijd eer aandoet. Hij kreeg zijn rijping op bourbon hogshead MoS 21048. Er werden in 2021 98 flessen met een vatsterkte van 53.7% gebotteld.
